From Assessment to Action: Conducting a Real
Audit of Veteran Student Support
June 12 | 12:00-1:00
Join the Colorado Advisory Council on Military Education (CO-ACME), MilVet Navigator, and R.J. Jenkins from Columbia University’s Center for Veteran Transition and Integration (CVTI) for an interactive webinar focused on assessing and strengthening support for military-connected students.
Many institutions are committed to serving military-affiliated students, but identifying what is working well, where gaps exist, and how to prioritize improvement efforts can be challenging without a structured framework. This session will introduce participants to a practical institutional self-assessment approach designed to help campuses evaluate veteran student support services, operations, and overall student experience.
Participants will explore:
Strategies for assessing how “veteran friendly” campus systems and processes really are
Common gaps and barriers impacting military-connected students
Approaches to continuous improvement and institutional collaboration
Ways to build more effective and sustainable systems of support
This session is recommended for:
School Certifying Officials
Veteran and military student services staff
Enrollment and student affairs professionals
Institutional leadership
Anyone interested in improving support for military-affiliated students
Even if you can’t attend live, don’t miss the opportunity to register so you can receive the webinar recording within 2 weeks afterward.
